Ritchie jettisons toys from the pram again

It seems that people are being terribly beastly to a confused old man who draws upon his past as a chartered accountant to burble about tax, politics and other things he's demonstrably not fit to do. And, it being that time of the month again, Ritchie's lashing out at his mean-spirited critics:
This blog is suffering another bout of comments from the fringes the political right wing. These people, who call themselves libertarian but whose whole object is to subject others to abuse, loss and poverty in pursuit of their own desire for wealth and power, present an agenda which is, thankfully, far beyond the bounds of political credibility in the UK.
All comments from those promoting libertarian abuse will be deleted henceforth. This blog is about mainstream political issues, mainstream debate and mainstream solutions. The libertarian commentators here aren’t in that debate. As such I won’t be giving their extremist views space and henceforth won’t be acknowledging the fact I’m deleting their comments either. As a result I hope the comments on this blog will be more useful in future.
Errm, no. The only way his blog could be made more useful is if he learns how to deal with criticism more constructively. He inhabits a paranoid delusional world in which everyone who says anything even remotely nasty about his ideas must be either a neo-nazi sympathiser or a paid agent of the far right. Yet in a week that's seen even HM Treasury and his own accountancy body point out the gaping holes in his arguments, it's time perhaps to rethink the strategy.
That he's tinkering with his comment policy again suggests that he's not going to do that. Which is a shame, as when he gets it right he's golden. When he gets it wrong, he should be prepared to engage with his critics and, if necessary, admit his mistakes. "Someone changed there mind" just won't cut it, even if he's talking about himself, Gollum-style.
You can always come here to leave comments. This blog will always be open to comments from all, even when you don't agree with me. In fact, especially when you don't agree with me.
